Sarah is a Michigan native, living in Northern Iowa. A mother of four, she still copes with the idea her youngest is in college. Married seventeen years, Sarah and her husband learned quickly that communication, laughter, and resisting the impulse to maim makes their marriage work. He continues to be one of her most energetic cheerleaders.
Writing has been a secret passion of hers since high school, after an English teacher knocked the dust off. While being the typical stay at home mom, she took classes and workshops to refine her skills. After a lot of anxiety, and a bout of self-doubt, she’s excited to introduce the characters that live in her head to the world.
When she’s not writing, she’s a grandmother of four granddaughters, as different as the seasons. Between the rambunctious nature of children and the neurotic nature of her three Great Danes, life is interesting. If asked, she’ll tell you she loves every minute. Even if some of those minutes result in ice cream, loads of coffee and a little solitary confinement.
